Whenever things weren’t busy with the general surgery or vascular service, I could choose other surgeries to scrub into. I have worked at Summit Ortho for 2 years this November! I found a love for orthopedics during my general surgery rotation in PA school. Hello, I’m Caroline – a physician assistant at Panorama Summit Orthopedics. In my spare time- I enjoy skiing, snowboarding, mountain n biking, hiking, golfing but my #1 passion is COOKING! I love working in orthopedics because I have been a frequent flyer myself in addition to taking care of friends in need of orthopedic care, so this comes naturally to me & is where my heart truly lies in the medical field. We have a 13 yr old Siberian cat named Charlie (if you’re allergic- no worries, Siberians are hypoallergenic!). I have a beautiful 15 yr old high school daughter, Isabella.
I obtained outpatient & inpatient medical coding certifications & started my medical journey at The Steadman Clinic as an Insurance/Surgical Authorization Specialist, then moved to Vail Summit Orthopedics doing surgical authorizations as well as several other authorization responsibilities- EMGs, PRPs & all in-office injections.
I formerly owned a property management company- Copper Vacations, with my ex-husband for many years before making a career change. I’ve watched Summit Co grow & change so much.
I moved to Copper Mountain a little over 20 yrs ago (originally to attend Keystone CMC Culinary Arts program), but I have been coming to ski at Copper with my dad since I was itty-bitty. I am excited to be here! I am from middle of nowhere Oklahoma. Hello! I am Kristen, new to working as a CL for Panorama Summit Orthopedics.
